What are the components of a trampoline?

What are the components of a trampoline? - MERSCO SPORTS

For families who have never purchased a trampoline, parents' understanding of trampolines is basically blank. Parents may not know what parts a trampoline is composed of, what the materials are, and why they choose this material to make trampoline accessories. And there are often news in the media about children getting injured due to using trampolines, which gives people a bad impression of trampolines. Today, MERSCO SPORT will tell you all the mysteries, are you ready? We're going to start uncovering the truth.

PART 1: Trampoline frame
The trampoline frame is often composed of the loop tube and foot tube of the trampoline, as shown in the picture. The frame supports the entire trampoline, and the stability and reliability of the connection between the tubes of the frame largely determine the overall quality of the trampoline. So, the frame is the supporting structure of the trampoline, ensuring overall stability and safety. Our trampolines are typically made of galvanized steel or powder coated steel to ensure strength and durability. Trampolines are more suitable for use in backyards or outdoors, and galvanized treatment can prevent rust and corrosion.

PART2:Jumping mat
Contrary to what many people think, most of the bouncing on a trampoline is not provided by springs, but by jumping mats. Jumping mat not only needs to have a certain degree of deformation ability, but also cannot touch the bottom due to excessive deformation. At the same time, it must ensure durability and withstand repeated use. Therefore, the choice of jumping mat material is very important, usually made of polypropylene or nylon materials. These materials have high strength and durability, as well as good elasticity and UV resistance. While ensuring elasticity and durability, they also consider that trampolines will be aged by UV radiation when exposed to outdoor sunlight for a long time.

PART3: Spring
The spring connection frame and jumping surface of a trampoline provide the required elasticity, making jumping smoother and more powerful. Therefore, the spring generally needs to meet three conditions. Firstly, it must be sturdy and durable, which is the most important. If the spring is not strong enough, it will be damaged during the use of the trampoline, which will greatly affect the safety of the user, such as the broken part will stab the user. The second is sufficient elasticity, which becomes the key to success when installing springs and using trampolines. The last point is that it can prevent oxidation. Trampolines are exposed to wind and rain in the backyard. If not properly protected, they are prone to oxidation and the springs are also prone to rusting. Therefore, it is important to prevent rusting of the springs. So our springs are made of high-strength galvanized steel. Galvanizing treatment helps prevent rust and corrosion, and extends the service life of springs. We generally offer color galvanizing and silver galvanizing for everyone to choose from.

PART4:Safety net
Family property often worries about their children getting injured while using trampolines. The main reason is that trampolines make children jump very high, which poses a risk of falling off the trampoline. In fact, people don't need to think like this at all. The reason is that we have our safety officer - Safety Net. The safety net surrounds the edge of the trampoline, preventing users from falling off the trampoline and providing additional safety protection. The material used is usually polyethylene or polyester. These materials have high strength and durability, and are soft and not easily harmful to the jumper.

PART5:Cover pad
When using a trampoline, safety is the top priority, so the function of the cover pad is very important. The cover pad covers the spring and frame to prevent the jumper from getting injured due to contact with these hardware parts. The outer layer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or vinyl material is usually used, and the interior is filled with foam material (such as polyethylene foam). These materials make the cover pad waterproof, soft, and durable.

Part 6: Protective net pole
A safety net or support rod is used to support the safety net surrounding the trampoline, ensuring that the safety net is firmly held in place and also stabilizing the overall frame of the trampoline. In order to save space, our trampoline net poles are generally divided into upper and lower parts. The lower net pole is connected to the foot tube through a T-shaped joint, while the upper net pole is often connected to the lower net pole through a snap fastener, usually made of galvanized steel or aluminum to ensure lightweight and sufficient strength.

Part 7: Other Accessories
The above six parts can already form a complete trampoline, but if you are still not satisfied with the functionality of the trampoline, special customization can be made.
Ladder: When you purchase a larger trampoline (over 8 feet), you may need a ladder to help your child get on the trampoline.
Sunscreen Net: As you can see from most websites, the top of the trampoline is mostly outdoors. When summer comes, high temperatures and the sun can put children at risk of sunburn and heatstroke. Equipping a sunscreen net can effectively solve this problem.
Storage bag: Many people like to place items on the trampoline jumping mat when using it. This is very easy to do and only requires throwing them away casually. However, if you accidentally step on the items on the jumping mat, it is easy to slip and twist your foot, causing injury, which is extremely unsafe. If there is a storage bag at this time, it can avoid this situation and keep everything organized.
Balance bar: The balance bar is a tube assembled between two leg tubes, mainly used to connect the two leg tubes together, so that the overall frame of the trampoline can be more secure.
Basket: The elasticity provided by the trampoline can fulfill your dream of flying. You can perform various difficult movements on it, and of course, it can also help you achieve your dream of dunking. Install a basket on the net rod of the trampoline, where you can shoot and dunk freely, enriching the gameplay of the trampoline.
Other entertainment facilities: light strips, chalk, football cloth, water pipes, etc. There are various accessories for different trampoline gameplay, and you can choose according to your own needs.
